
National Islamic Bank Makes Its 2025 Annual Report Available
The National Islamic Bank has announced the results of its 2025 Annual Report, which reflect notable growth across key financial indicators, including total assets, deposits, and revenues.

The National Islamic Bank has announced the results of its 2025 Annual Report, which reflect notable growth across key financial indicators, including total assets, deposits, and revenues, alongside strengthened capital adequacy and continued expansion of the Bank’s banking activities.
Key Financial Highlights
Total assets reached IQD 1,089,844 million, representing a 29.0% increase compared with 2024 and surpassing the one-trillion-Iraqi-dinar threshold for the first time. Current accounts and deposits increased to IQD 606,852 million, recording a 47.3% year-on-year increase, while cash credit reached IQD 266,701 million, representing growth of 10.8%.
At the operational level, revenues rose to IQD 39,727 million, an increase of 71.8% compared with the previous year. Profit before tax increased significantly to IQD 17,464 million, representing a 179.1% increase.
Paid-up capital reached IQD 400,000 million, reflecting a 14.0% increase, while the Bank’s capital adequacy ratio remained at 55%, substantially exceeding the regulatory minimum requirement of 12%.
Growth and Business Development
The Bank’s ten-year performance indicators for the period 2016–2025 demonstrate a clear recovery following a period of decline between 2017 and 2021, followed by accelerated growth in total assets and deposits through 2025.
During the year, the National Islamic Bank continued to strengthen its technological infrastructure, enhance its risk management and compliance frameworks, and expand its remittance services and international correspondent banking relationships through the Central Bank of Iraq.
The 2025 results reflect the Bank’s continued focus on sustainable growth, financial strength, operational development, and the expansion of its banking services, while maintaining strong capital adequacy and prudent risk management.
